Bay, (insidesomalia.org)-Heavy battle has overnight taken place at Deynunay location in Bay region in southern Somalia.
The Al-Shabab group has gone in battle with military battalion of the Somali transitional federal soldiers stationed at Deynunay location in the eastern entrance of Baidoa town which is the current base of the Somali parliamentarians.
The battle could be heard in the entire neighborhoods, and both sides have exchanged different sorts of weapons including shoulder thrown ones and as well anti aircraft missiles.
So far three of the Somali military soldiers are reported to have died and scores of the location in habitants were wounded after stray bullets caught them in their abodes.
As reliable sources from the ground told the Somaliweyn radio the Al-Shabab group has taken control of the Somali military base for about 45minutes and have burnt down a water tanker.
The Al-shabab group has left the military barrack at around 2:30am local time, with out facing any sort of reprisal.
Daynunay is among the few military training grounds for the Somali military and it is roughly 28KM from Baidoa town.
It is not the first time for the Al-Shabab forces to raid garrisons of the Somali military, and it was some two nights ago when the forces of Al-Shabab attacked inside Baidoa town and killed two government soldiers.
